This agreement is between:
Conscious Web Presence (“Mentor/Program”) and [Apprentice Name] (“Apprentice”).
Program Overview
The Conscious Web Presence Apprenticeship is an educational program designed to provide training in web design, digital tech support, and small business skills. The Apprentice will learn through hands-on projects, mentorship, and structured training sessions.
Program Commitment
The Apprentice agrees to participate in the program for 200 hours total, typically spread over 4–6 months.
This includes:
~80 hours of live training and co-working via Zoom.
~120 hours of independent study & work on client projects.
~additional hours of independent business-building, portfolio development, and launch prep.
Expected weekly time: 10–12 hours on average (flexible, with notice).
Educational Purpose
This apprenticeship is for training and mentorship only, not employment.
The Apprentice is not an employee or contractor of Conscious Web Presence.
Any work performed on client projects is for educational purposes, either under supervision or review.
The Exchange
No tuition is required.
The Apprentice contributes time and effort (200 hours).
In return, Conscious Web Presence provides:
Mentorship and training.
Hands-on experience with real-world projects.
A portfolio website, created during the program (after 150 hours) you will receive a complementary website & editor that you can build for portfolio or personal use.
Your portfolio website project and any mentorship will be on your own time in addition to the 200 hours of program exchange.
Portfolio Website
Conscious Web Presence will host and maintain the Apprentice’s portfolio site at no cost while the Apprentice is active in the program and for 1 year after completion.
After that time, or if the Apprentice chooses to separate, the Apprentice will then be responsible for hosting fees and ongoing costs of their personal website.
Quality & Supervision
All client-facing work by the Apprentice will be reviewed and approved by the Mentor before delivery.
Apprentices must be open to feedback, revisions, and collaborative learning.
Graduate Benefits
Apprentices who complete the program with integrity and high-quality work may be referred to paid client projects through Conscious Web Presence.
Future work opportunities are not guaranteed and are offered on a project-by-project basis.
Mentorship Cycle
For 1 year after completing the program, Apprentices receive ongoing mentorship (30-minute consultations, as needed).
As part of this ongoing mentorship, Apprentices agree to mentor new apprentices in small ways:
Sharing experiences and insights.
Answering questions about tools or workflows.
Offering encouragement during co-working sessions.
This peer-to-peer mentorship is not a heavy time commitment (typically 2 hours per week), but it is a way of giving back and strengthening the learning community.
Attendance & Communication
Live sessions are held 2–3 times per week, typically Mon/Wed/Thu 1–3 PM EST.
If the Apprentice needs to miss or reschedule, 72 hours’ notice is requested (except true emergencies).
Consistent communication is expected; lack of engagement without notice may result in dismissal from the program.
Code of Conduct
Apprentices agree to participate with professionalism, respect, and integrity.
Confidentiality: Any client information encountered during the apprenticeship must remain private.
Collaboration: Apprentices are expected to ask questions, seek feedback, and contribute positively to the learning environment.
Completion & Withdrawal
Completion is recognized when the Apprentice has contributed 200 hours, completed at least one independent project, and built a portfolio website.
If the Apprentice withdraws early, they may not receive all benefits (e.g., portfolio website transfer, referrals).
